11 March 2020 —
Dutch insurer ACHMEA informed supervisory board member Roelof JOOSTEN passed away. May he rest in peace.

"The Supervisory Board and Executive Board of ACHMEA B.V. were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Roelof Joosten on Monday at the age of 62".

Roelof JOOSTEN had been a member of the Supervisory Board of ACHMEA since April 2019 and, as of September 2019, also a member of the supervisory boards of group companies ACHMEA Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen N.V. and ACHMEA Schadeverzekeringen N.V. During his impressive career he had been CEO of FrieslandCampina, one of the world's largest dairy co-operatives.

"We remember Roelof's warmth, enthusiasm and sense of humour and we are very grateful for his contribution to our organisation. Sadly, we were able to work with him for far too short a period. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife and children and wish them strength to cope with this loss".
