AIG announced that its Board of Directors has nominated three new director candidates for election at AIG's Annual Meeting of Shareholders 2019.

The nominees, who will join ten current directors standing for re-election, are:

• Peter PORRINO, former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of XL Group Ltd
• Amy SCHIOLDAGER, former Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Beta Strategies at BlackRock, Inc.
• Therese VAUGHAN, former CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and the Robb Kelley Visiting Distinguished Professor and former Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration at Drake University

These nominations follow the January 2019 election of Thomas MOTAMED as a director. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation and before that spent 31 years with The Chubb Corporation.

Current directors Theresa STONE and Ronald RITTENMEYER will not be standing for re-election at the 2019 Annual Meeting. Theresa STONE is retiring, and Ronald RITTENMEYER has announced he will not stand for re-election given his other professional commitments.
