Total GWP of Albanian insurers increased to ALL 1.98 billion (EUR 20 million) in January, up by 11.37% y-o-y, SeeNews reports.

Non-life insurance rose by 11.37% to ALL 1.8 billion in January, while life insurance recorded an increase of 10.50%, to ALL 188.5 million, according to the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA).

Total paid claims increased by 12.95% y-o-y to ALL 687 million in January.

The statistics comprise data from eight insurance companies operating in Albania, the source added.
