From January to October this year total GWP of Albanian insurers increased 7.56% y-o-y to ALL 20.26 billion (EUR 205.9 million), SeeNews writes with reference to official figures.

Non-life insurance rose 7.5% to ALL 18.6 billion in the first 10 months, as the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA) said. Life insurance saw a 8.54% increase in GWP to ALL 1.6 billion.

Total paid claims rose 22.75% y-o-y to ALL 7 billion in the period under review.

It is noted that the statistics are based on data, provided by eight insurers operating in Albania.
