ALLIANZ Zagreb will have a new Chairman of the Board

Daniel MATIC is the new candidate for the opened position as Chairman of the Board inside Allianz Zagreb, Croatia. He will replace Boris GALIC after getting the necessary approvals from the regulator.

On 11 April 2019, Boris GALIC left Allianz Zagreb, after serving the company for 16 years. Boris GALIC, as President of the Board, managed to bring Allianz to the second place in Croatian insurance market.

"We are grateful for the great contribution Boris GALIC has given Allianz for the past 16 years. He should be proud of the results he achieved with his entire team, even when the market circumstances were less favorable. We appreciate all the work that he has done for the company and we wish him the same success further," said Petros PAPANIKOLAOU, Chairman of the Allianz CEE.

Daniel MATIC, the new candidate, started his professional career in 2002, inside Allianz life and health reinsurance business. In 2006, he moved to an actuarial function at Allianz SE. MATIC joined Willis Towers Watson Insurance in 2008 and where he spent more than 8 years before rejoining Allianz SE. Inside Allianz SE, he was responsible for managing new business capital and licensing of life and health products, in several countries and regions where Allianz operates.

"Daniel MATIC is an experienced manager, with successful results at Allianz SE. We are pleased that he is taking over the position of President of the Board of Allianz Zagreb and we are convinced that under his leadership, the company will continue to grow and strengthen its position on the market," added PAPANIKOLAOU.
