Global re/insurance broker AON announced that its Q3 2022 total revenue was flat at USD 2.7 billion compared to the prior year period, while net income increased to USD 408 million compared to a net loss of USD-900 million in the prior year period.
According to presented figures, except Reinsurance Solutions (+2% y-o-y to USD 396 million), the other three Divisions posted decreases in revenues:
- Commercial Risk Solutions: -6% to USD 1.48 billion
- Health Solutions: -1% to USD 494 million
- Wealth Solutions: -7% to USD 326 million
Total operating expenses in the third quarter decreased 40% to USD 2.1 billion compared to the prior year period due primarily to the USD 1.0 billion payment made in connection with the termination of the proposed combination with Willis Towers Watson (the "Termination Fee") and certain transaction costs incurred related to the termination in the prior year period (together, the "transaction costs") and a USD 138 million favorable impact from foreign currency translation.
In terms of expenses, the largest shares were accounted by Compensation and benefits (USD 1.53 billion, - USD 303 million), expenses related to Information technology (USD 133 million, +USD 3 million) and other general expense (USD 299 million, vs. USD 1.34 billion a year before).
