ARMENIA: Insurance sector net profit almost quadrupled in 2025

23 February 2026 — Marina MAGNAVAL
Armenia's insurance sector net profit in 2025 rose almost fourfold (vs a 71% decline a year ago), reaching AMD 2.9 billion (USD 7.7 million), ArmInfo reports.

This growth is noted to be the result of tariff increases, which accelerated annual premium growth while slowing growth of paid claims.

According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Insurance Companies as of December 31, 2025, prepared by ArmInfo, Armenia Insurance secured the lead in net profit for 2025 (AMD 784.7 million), REGO Insurance retained its second place (AMD 713.2 million), and LIGA Insurance rose to third (AMD 574.4 million). INGO ranked the last out of seven insurance companies as it was unable to maintain its y-o-y profit and ended up with a loss of AMD 325.3 million.
