4 September 2024 — Marina MAGNAVAL
According to the 1H2024 results, amid the deteriorating premium dynamics, insurers' investment income continues to grow at double-digit rates, remaining at 27% for the second year in a row, ArmInfo writes.

Current assets are dominated by financial investments (securities, government bonds, deposits and loans in banks), which make up over 85% (vs 72% a year ago), in second place are short-term accounts receivable (over 12% vs 25%), and cash is in third place - 2% (vs 3%).

A significant decrease in net profit worsened the dynamics of accumulated profit turning it from growth of 48.5% to a decline of 15.3% and reduced its share in equity from 38% to 28%. However, the insurance sector maintained the trend of equity in double-digit growth, with a slight slowdown from 19% to 13%.

The total charter capital of the insurance market grew by 22.4% y-o-y, and its share in equity increased from last year's 63% to the reported 69%. LIGA Insurance holds the lead in equity and charter capital, while ranking second in terms of accumulated profit.
