The health insurance system in Armenia will be introduced in stages until 2027, as stated by Health Minister Anahit AVANESYAN, ArmInfo wrote.

According to the minister, the main goal of the five-year strategy for the industry's development and the draft concept on introduction of a health insurance system is to improve health of the population by providing quality and affordable services.

It is proposed to introduce the system in stages until 2027, to include all medical services, except for dentistry and plastic surgery, to provide for components of voluntary and mandatory participation, to create an insurance infrastructure that will allow provision of medical services with the same quality and accessibility for all groups of beneficiaries, regardless of social status, the minister explained.
