ARMENIA: tax payments of insurers in 1Q increased by more than 35% y-o-y

According to the 1Q2022 results, the insurance sector of Armenia increased tax payments to the state budget by 35.3% y-o-y, having paid AMD 667.7 million (~EUR 1.25 million), ArmInfo reports according to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Among insurance companies in terms of tax payments for the period, NAIRI Insurance is the leader, which ranks 258th in the list of 1000 large taxpayers of the country (vs 522nd a year earlier), having paid AMD 219.3 million to the state budget. It is followed by INGO Armenia (322nd place, AMD 170.1 million), and ROSGOSSTRAKH Armenia (347th place, AMD 160.2 million).

Of the six insurance companies operating in Armenia, only RESO was not included in the list of 1000 large taxpayers in the first quarter of 2022, although the company ended the period with a profit.
