ARMENIA: tax payments of the insurance sector in January-September increased by more than 33% y-o-y

From January to September 2020, Armenian insurers paid taxes in the amount of AMD 1.6 billion (EUR 2.78 million*), which is 33.3% more y-o-y (vs a decline by 25% at the end of the same period in 2019), ArmInfo reports.

In the list of 1,000 largest taxpayers, according to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, of the six insurance companies, operating in the market, only RESO was not included. Among insurers, the leaders in terms of tax payments are ROSGOSSTRAKH Armenia (231st place) and INGO Armenia (292nd place).

At the same time, the share of the insurance sector in the total volume of tax payments of the 1,000 largest taxpayers has not changed y-o-y and is only 0.2%.
