AZERBAIJAN: motor insurance increased in 1H

In the first half of 2021, MTPL in the insurance market of Azerbaijan increased by 6% to AZN 46.75 million (EUR 23.21 million*), Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Voluntary civil liability insurance of vehicle owners increased by 36% compared to the first half of 2020, GWP totaled AZN 684,000.

At the same time, voluntary insurance of motor vehicles for the period totaled AZN 18.1 million, and paid claims for this type of insurance exceeded AZN 7 million.
