On January 1, 2025, Gregor Pilgram, CEO of Generali Versicherung AG (Austria), assumed the position of President of the Austrian Insurance Association VVO. He will hold this position for the next two years.

"Our industry has the responsibility to ensure long-term economic stability and security - for generations. As a financially strong investor and employer of around 190,000 jobs, which are directly or indirectly provided by the insurance industry, we reliably strengthen Austria as a business location during unstable times", said Pilgram.

Pilgram has been with the Generali Group since 1999. At that time, he worked for Generali in Slovenia. In 2008, he became the President of the Management Board of Generali Zavarovalnica d.d. in Ljubljana. He joined Generali CEE Holding in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer in the region of Austria, CEE and Russia. He held the position of President of the Management Board of Generali Adriatic Slovenica Zavarovalne družba d.d. in Koper from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2022, he was also the general director of distribution in Austria and the CEE region.
