From October 1, 2024, the Russian MTPL policy will be valid in Belarus, as announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, BELTA reports.

"The government has prepared a bill that will allow vehicle owners to extend MTPL coverage to Belarus if they wish", Mishustin said.

"The new mechanism can be used from October 1 of this year. We expect that this new option for civil motor insurance will make it easier to travel to Belarus by car, including for tourists and entrepreneurs", the Prime Minister added.
