BELARUS: in 2020 the budget of the public non-budgetary fund for social protection executed with a surplus

In 2020, the budget of the public non-budgetary fund for social protection in the Republic of Belarus was executed with a surplus of BYN 213.9 million from professional pension insurance, said Yulia MURINA, Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives, BELTA informed.

The main source of income for the fund's budget is premiums for state social insurance. The volume of compulsory insurance payments to the fund's budget in 2020 amounted to BYN 15,955.3 million (~EUR 5.15 billion*), premiums for professional pension insurance amounted to BYN 135.7 million.

"Financing of all necessary expenses from state social insurance funds in 2020 was provided in a timely manner and in full," Yulia MURINA emphasized.
