BELARUS: validity of MTPL policies may be extended to the entire territory of the Union State of Russia and Belarus

On January 20, at a meeting of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on legislation and regulations, it was proposed to extend validity of MTPL policies issued in Belarus and Russia to the entire territory of the Union State, BELTA informs.

According to the deputies, solving the issue of extending validity of MTPL policies to the entire territory of the Union State will be a significant contribution to the formation of a single legal space of the two countries.

It was decided to further address the issue of possible recognition in the Union State of MTPL policies issued in another member state, as well as to study the system of compensation for damage caused to life, health or property of victims when using vehicles on the territory of another member state.
