BULGARIA: Insurers 5-mo gross premiums fall 4.4%

The combined gross premium income of Bulgaria's insurance companies fell by 4.4% to 648.9 million levs ($413.6 million/331.8 million euro) in the first five months of the year, the country's financial regulator said on Wednesday.

The gross premium income of the general insurers decreased by 4.8% to 542.2 million levs through May, data of the Financial Supervision Commission showed.
