Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bosnia's Federation insurance market rises 6.9% in the first two month of the year

The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Federation reported total GWP of BAM 199.7 million (EUR 102.1 million) in the first three months of 2026, up 6.9% on the year, according to the entity’s insurance supervision agency, SeeNews writes.

Non-life insurance rose by 6.6% year-on-year to BAM 160.8 million in January-March, while life insurance increased by 8% to BAM 38.9 million, the Federation’s insurance regulator said in its report.

It is noted that ASA Central was the biggest insurer in the Federation in the period under review with combined GWP worth BAM 31 million, up from BAM 28.5 million in the same period last year. It was followed by Adriatic with BAM 26.3 million and Euroherc with BAM 22.4 million.

The agency's report comprises data on 19 insurance companies operating in the entity, 10 of which are Federation-based. The remaining 9 insurers are based in the Serb Republic.
