The conference "VISION 2025 – On the Threshold of the New", held on November 7, 2025, in Sarajevo, marked 20 years of work of the Insurance Supervision Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the agency said on its website. It was noted that over 20 years, premiums grew from EUR 124.5 million to EUR 372.9 million.

Within the framework of three panel discussions, current trends, as well as problems of macroeconomic, geopolitical developments and their reflection on the local market, were elaborated in detail in front of about 150 domestic, regional and international experts.

"With the conference "VISION 2025 - On the threshold of the new", we are marking 20 years of the Insurance Supervision Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the same time opening a dialogue on the future of the insurance market. Although we live in a time of pronounced global challenges, the insurance sector in the Federation of BiH is showing stability, growth and readiness for changes brought by the new economic and regulatory environment", said Ivan Luburić, Director of the Insurance Supervision Agency of the FBiH.

During the conference it was emphasized that total amount of premiums in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was EUR 124.5 million in 2005, while in 2024 this figure reached EUR 372.9 million. Paid claims in the previous year amounted to EUR 159.9 million, while in 2005 this amount was only around EUR 50 million.

Speaking about the premium structure, participants noted that the trend towards compulsory insurance including motor vehicle is still present. And although the product offer on the market is satisfactory, due to low financial literacy, there is no adequate awareness on the part of consumers.

In 2024, the Agency became a member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), which created room to further strengthen the international role and standards of the Agency's work.
