Changes in the ERGO HESTIA Management Board

ERGO HESTIA, one of the largest insurers in Polish insurance market announced that, after 31 years, its Vice President - Grzegorz SZATKOWSKI will leave the company.

"After 31 years, Vice President Grzegorz SZATKOWSKI will say goodbye to ERGO HESTIA. Associated with the company from the beginning of its operation, he continuously served as Vice-President of the Management Boards of STU ERGO HESTIA SA (n.red.: non-life insurer) and STUnZ ERGO HESTIA SA (n.red.: life insurance unit). In both companies, he was responsible for the areas of finance and organization".

The Polish insurer mentioned that Marcin DYMEK will take his place. Apart from the new Vice President, the ERGO HESTIA Management Board will be strengthened by two new managers: Kazimierz MAJDANSKI and Piotr MATYSIAK.

Marcin DYMEK was Partner at KPMG Polska and the Head of Services for the Insurance Sector for many years. He has cooperated with ERGO HESTIA in the past as part of his advisory and auditing functions. He will take over the new responsibilities on May 1, 2022.

Kazimierz MAJDANSKI has been associated with ERGO HESTIA for 22 years. He started his career as Director of representative offices - successively in his hometown of Zielona Gora and Gdansk. Then he managed the Loss Adjustment Office, to take the position of Managing Director responsible for Claims Handling in 2014, and Operations in 2018.

Piotr MATYSIAK joined ERGO HESTIA 9 years ago and dealt with the analysis of the claims portfolio and claims handling processes in the Loss Adjustment Office. Then he worked in the Individual Insurance Office, supervising the implementation of advanced pricing in the company. Currently, as Managing Director of the Retail Insurance Department, he is responsible for the operations, sales and technical result in the area of the retail client portfolio.
