Claude TENDIL takes over from Jean-Philippe THIERRY as Chairman of the Rendez-vous de Septembre Association

claude_tendilAfter 12 years as President of the Rendez-vous de Septembre Jean-Philippe THIERRY will give up this post at the end of the year. Claude TENDIL, CEO of Groupe Generali in France, Chairman of Europ Assistance and Vice-President of the FFSA, was elected by the RSV appointments committee as President for a two-year term starting on 1 January 2013.

Jean-Philippe THIERRY has announced his intention to withdraw from this position since 2011, when he was re-elected as President of&the Rendez-vous de Septembre. Honorary President of AGF, Jean-Philippe THIERRY was until the end of 2009 a member of the Board of Allianz SE in Munich and is currently Vice-President of ACP (the French Prudential Control Authority).

The General Meeting of the Association, at its meeting held on Monday 10 September, took note of this decision and expressed its warmest thanks to President THIERRY for his very effective action at the head of the Association, which he has developed and taken forward by transforming it into an association under Monegasque law.

Then following the proposal made by the appointments committee composed of Jean-Philippe THIERRY, Denis KESSLER, Chairman and CEO of SCOR and Michel LIÈS, Chairman and CEO of Swiss Re, the General Meeting elected Claude TENDIL as President for a two-year term starting on 1 January 2013. Claude TENDIL is CEO of Groupe Generali in France, Chairman of Europ Assistance and Vice-President of the FFSA. His whole career has been in insurance, first with UAP, then with AXA of which he became General Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board, and now at the head of Generali France.
