iif_2015_munich_1_micClimate change, the rise in natural catastrophes and the impact upon the re/insurance industry is the focus point of the first edition of IIF - Property Insurance in a Stormy Era conference that takes place on 22-23 June, 2015 in Munich, Germany. The event, which gathers more than 100 leaders and specialists from all over the world, is co-organized by NTT Data Germany and XPRIMM.

"Our main goal during these two days is to create a platform for the exchange of business insights on essential issues of the re/insurance industry [...] in a time when the climate change is bringing challenges in almost every area of activity", Dieter LOEWE, Managing Director, Public & Financial Services, NTT DATA Deutschland, stated during the official opening of the conference.

Commenting about the change in the weather patterns, LOEWE explained that "if we refer to Germany and actually to the entire Europe, we have faced in the last years severe weather related events, some of them unfamiliar for the region. The impact and magnitude of the natural catastrophes and weather-related events, but also the unpredictability, are forcing the insurance and reinsurance companies to change and improve their business models. This will have an impact on all of us!"

NTT DATA is serving 8 out of the first 10 insurance companies in the world. The company delivers technology-enabled services and solutions to clients around the world.
