CROATIA: Allianz Hrvatska records a 21% increase in its gross profit in 2024
Allianz Hrvatska, part of German insurer Allianz, said that in 2024 its gross profit reached a record high of EUR 29.3 million, which represents an increase of 21% y-o-y, thanks to growing profitability of both non-life and life insurance operations, SeeNews reports.
CROATIA: GWP in January-April rise 9.6%, while paid claims decline by 10.2%

STATISTICS: CROATIA 1Q 2025: 9% growth in total collected premiums, supported by motor insurance
According to data provided by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA), the 14 insurance companies operating on the market reported total premium collected in Q1 2025 of EUR 493 million, of which EUR 76.8 million (-1.12% y-o-y) related to life insurance premium and EUR 416.15 million (+11.21% y-o-y) to non-life insurance premium.

CROATIA: The market as of February 2025: growth in premiums, decline in paid claims
In the first two month of the year Croatian insurance companies collected EUR 312.2 million in premiums, or 8.8% more y-o-y. Of this, EUR 48.2 million (15.4%) came from life insurance, which is 1.1% less y-o-y, and EUR 264.0 million (84.6%) came from non-life insurance, which is 10.8% more y-o-y, osiguranje.hr reports.

CROATIA: Non-life insurance generated over 85% of GWP in January

At the end of 2024, the insurance market of Croatia totalled EUR 1.9 billion, of which EUR 335.1million (17.4%) related to life insurance premium and EUR 1.6 billion (82.6%) to non-life insurance segment, according to the YE 2024 statistics published by The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency – HANFA.
