Exchange of experience in Tirana between supervisory authorities from 10 countries
tiranaAlbanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA) in cooperation with the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority (HFSA), held on October 10th-11th, in Tirana, the second regional meeting with the Insurance Supervisors from Central Europe, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe countries (CESEE). The meeting had a wide presence from homologue supervisory authorities from Albania, Austria, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.

"This meeting is the follow up of the CESEE Countries Insurance Supervision Initiative. This initiative is designed to foster multilateral collaboration and cooperation among supervisors from CESEE focusing on the topics which are particularly relevant to the region", explained Elisabeta GJONI, Chairperson Albanian FSA.

During the conference, participants had given a special attention to many regional insurance issues and exchanghed information in terms of claims reserving, distribution channels, intermediaries or the role of actuary in the supervisory authority.
