FEMA Deputy Administrator Daniel KANIEWSKI joins MMC

Daniel KANIEWSKI, most recently Deputy Administrator for Resilience at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), has been appointed Managing Director, Public Sector, Marsh & McLennan Advantage. The Marsh & McLennan Advantage group brings together expertise from across the Company's four businesses to deliver innovative solutions to clients.

"In this role, KANIEWSKI will leverage his 20 years of public policy and risk management experience to inform and support enterprise-wide initiatives to respond to emerging risks facing the public sector. As FEMA's second ranking official, he spearheaded the agency's disaster resilience efforts, including insurance, hazard mitigation and preparedness programs. Prior to his role at FEMA, he led the Global Resilience practice at AIR Worldwide, a catastrophe risk modeling firm and served in the White House as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security", noted MMC in a statement.

Daniel KANIEWSKI earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Washington University and an M.A. in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.
