FRANKFURT: EFRP Congress presents pension innovations from around the world
EFRP-logoToday takes place in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) the 2012 edition of the European Pension Funds Congress, traditionally hosted by the European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP). Organized during the EURO FINANCE WEEK, the Congress is offering to the attending industry professionals an exclusivist list of speakers who will present pension innovations from around the world

"The next few years will be critical for the future direction of pensions in Europe and to the retirement prospects of Europe's citizens. Challenges will arise from proposals on pensions portability, the role of pension funds as long-term investors in a continuing tough economic environment and, of course, the review of the IORP Directive", Joanne SEGARS, Chief Executive of the UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) stated on the day of her election as Chair of the EFRP.

In this context, this year's sessions will follow three main lines of discussions:
  • Pension Ambitions in an Uncertain World
  • The Changing Pension Investment Landscape
  • Good Pension Innovations from Around the World
Minister of State for Pensions and Member of Parliament Steve WEBB is giving the keynote address, while the international line-up of speakers promises a varied look at these issues. The Congress will also host a special moment dedicated to official announcement of the EFRP decision to change the organization's name in PensionsEurope.

Continuing their traditional media partnership with EFRP, XPRIMM Publications are represented in Frankfurt by Daniela GHETU, Editorial Director and Vlad BOLDIJAR, Senior Editor, who will keep you posted with the most interesting news.
