The total deposits of insurance companies decreased by EUR 217 million to EUR 740 million at the end of March: deposits in domestic credit institutions decreased by EUR 159 million to EUR 575 million, while deposits in foreign credit institutions decreased by EUR 58 million to EUR 165 million. The share of deposits in total assets fell to 3.6% in 1Q2024 from 4.7% in the previous quarter.
The value of the total placements in debt securities increased to EUR 10,571 million and the share of debt securities in total assets stands at 51.3%. The value of total investments in mutual funds increased to EUR 5,810 million and their share in total assets stands at 28.2%.
The value of the total investments in shares and other means of ownership increased to EUR 960 million from EUR 881 million in the previous quarter, and their share in total assets rose to 4.7% from 4.3% in the previous quarter.
