For the period between January and October 2019, life insurance had a positive trend. According to the data of EAEE (The Association of Insurance Companies of Greece), the Greek life sector saw a 19.1% rise y-o-y, reaching EUR 1.65 billion.

One of the key drivers was again annuity insurance line, which increased by 41.4%, to EUR 196 million. Unit-linked products also had favorable market conditions and recorded a 25.8% increase y-o-y with a production of EUR 210 million during the period.
