Global Care on Demand: a virtual doctor for globally mobile citizens

As of November 1, 2018, AXA - Global Healthcare customers will have access to the "Global Care on Demand" service, a virtual doctor developed by Advance Medical, offering simple and flexible health services for globally mobile individual and SME customers.

"Given the global nature of our customers, who live in more than 190 countries, it was vital that we found a provider who could meet their diverse needs, while also offering a great experience. That's why our new service includes doctors who are based regionally, and critically, offer a range of languages. Although many expats learn the local language or can get by with the basics, when it comes to medical terminology, it can often be reassuring to be able to speak in your mother tongue," Tom WILKINSON, CEO of AXA - Global Healthcare, stated.

The service is available anywhere on a 24 hour/7-day basis, over the phone through a secure line or via a video consultation, in the patient's language. It provides access to a network of internationally qualified doctors, located in 8 main hubs around the world and able to conduct primary care consultations in more than 20 languages.

This "virtual doctor" provides customers with immediate access to an international standard of medical care from a trusted source of medical advice, when and wherever they need it. The service has been designed for those with a globally mobile lifestyle, including corporate employees on assignments abroad, business travelers and expatriates who may not know how to access medical care in an unfamiliar country, or want fast access to an international standard of care, day and night.
