Discounts will be more significant for motorists with a clean history of accidents in the last four years, who are residents of the provinces with a higher rate of "sinister", which makes them susally pay higher premiums. A tax regulation will be issued by Insurance Supervisory Institute within three months, providing for the actual values of the dicounts. The discount applies to new contracts or to the renewal of existing ones. These measures are intended to further narrow the gap with the European countries for the cost of the policies, which currently stands at about EUR 100, against an average cost of EUR 367.
