Insurance Europe announced it opened registrations for Insurance Europe’s event on “Building Europe’s climate resilience: a shared agenda for by-design approaches” on 24 March, with special guests from the European Commission, European Parliament, European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the insurance sector.
This breakfast discussion will explore how Europe can strengthen resilience and preparedness as climate-related risks intensify, and the role of the insurance industry in supporting prevention, adaptation, and recovery. It will focus on how policy, markets, and society can work together to embed prevention-first and resilience-by-design approaches. Bringing together EU policymakers, insurers, local authorities, and civil society, the event will highlight priorities for action to ensure Europe is better prepared for the risks ahead, the Insurance Europe announcement on its web page mentioned.
