"Insurance and Reinsurance in the Baltics 2016" will discuss about the future of the European insurance

The fast changing global insurance landscape requests insurers not only to adapt, but also to anticipate in order to cope with the strong competitive environment. XVI International Conference "Insurance and Reinsurance in the Baltics 2016" Riga, September 29th, 2016, will address the challenges of the next decade for the European insurance community.

The conference is organized by Latvian Insurers Association in cooperation with a most competent Advisory Board consisting of representatives of German Insurance Association, Lietuvos Draudimas (PZU group), Salva Insurance, If P&C Insurance and Compensa Non-Life Baltics. Around 150 participants from the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, Eastern and Central Europe are expected to participate at the event.

Key topics include:
  • European and Baltic insurance market now and in 10 years
  • Recent and coming legislative changes in EU (IDD, PRIIPs, Data regulation etc.)
  • Motor insurance: how to deal with non-material losses in Baltics, telematics, new technologies etc.
  • Future of life insurance in the period of low interest rates
  • Security: car thefts, document falsification, tachograph issues, expertise opportunities
The morning session dedicated to the European market's perspectives on short and medium term will be followed by three parallel sessions in the afternoon on regulatory issues, motor insurance and security.
