Julie SWEET appointed as CEO of Accenture

Julie SWEET was assigned the role of Chief Executive Officer of Accenture, joining the company's board of directors. She succeeds David ROWLAND, who was assigned as interim Chief Executive Officer on January 10th.

Since 2015, SWEET has served as CEO of Accenture's business in North America, the company's largest geographic market. Previously, she was Accenture's General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer for five years. Outside of Accenture, SWEET is know as a leader on topics including innovation, technology's impact on business, and inclusion and diversity, benefitting from a high notoriety in American business world.

ROWLAND will continue to be actively involved in Accenture's long-term business strategy. Throughout his 36-year career with Accenture, ROWLAND has held significant leadership roles, including serving as CFO from July 2013 to January 2019.

The appointments were firstly announced on July 11th, 2019, being put in effect on September 1st, 2019.
