BTA Insurance Company is winning the award of international media leader World Finance for the second time. In 2010, BTA was awarded as "Insurer of the Year 2010, in Latvia". The award won by BTA this year - "Insurance Company of the Year, Baltic States" confirms the recognition of the BTA business and achievements throughout the Baltic States.

"Even though the overall Latvian non-life insurance market ended the first half of this year with a loss, and Lithuanian and Estonian markets were showing very vague signs of market recovery, we are pleased that BTA's profit, though not impressive, was nonetheless positive. Naturally, it required very hard work and numerous optimisation and efficiency improvement measures; therefore this award means for us an acknowledgement of our efforts. It is specifically important because BTA actively operates in other European countries and continues researching and developing new markets. The acknowledgment of the world's leading financial magazine World Finance is the guarantee of BTA quality and reliability, not only in the Baltic States but in foreign markets as well. This acknowledgement is a good start for BTA operations under the new status of a European company, which was granted to the company at the beginning of this year", says Mr. Tadeus Podvorski, head of BTA Insurance Company Branch Office in Lithuania.
