MACEDONIA: EUR 2 million of Albanian investments in Macedonia in a year

Interest of Albanians in investments in Macedonia has increased. In the past ten months of the year, they have invested some EUR 2 million in Macedonia, confirmed Macedonian economy minister Valjon Saracini, adding that Albanian businessmen have shown the most interest in investments in construction, insurance, hotel industry and Macedonian agriculture.

Saracini, who visited Tirana a few days ago, assessed that investments in infrastructure need to increase and the Albanian port Drac should be perceived as a priority in comparison with the Thessaloniki port. The construction of the Corridor 8 will make the Macedonian companies turn to Drac because Macedonian companies suffered large losses due to Greek blockades, the minster explained.
