The Spanish insurance group MAPFRE expands its business activities in England, announcing its expansion on new insurance segments. Thus, MAPFRE Global Risks will start offering specialty lines of business in aviation, energy, marine, construction and engineering from its London offices starting 2015.

The global specialty insurance arm of the Spain-headquartered insurance group has been operating in the UK for the last seven years, focusing on property lines.

"To support this new strategy, we are expanding our local team, building our capability in London while working closely with our colleagues in Madrid", MAPFRE Global Risks CEO Alfredo CASTELO declared.
