Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) announced the appointment of John DOYLE as Chief Executive Officer of Marsh, effective immediately, replacing Peter ZAFFINO after his recently announced move to AIG.

DOYLE will report to MMC President & CEO Dan GLASER and continue to serve on the Company's Executive Committee. He joined Marsh as President in April 2016 from insurer AIG, where he was CEO of the firm's global insurance businesses. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CHARTIS U.S. John DOYLE is a member of the Board of the New York Police and Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund and is a Trustee of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund.

As President & CEO of Marsh, John DOYLE will continue to oversee the firm's global brokerage businesses while assuming responsibility for Marsh's Global Risk & Specialties, portfolio businesses and operational functions.
