MMC reported increasing revenues and operating incomes in Q1

MMC - Marsh & McLennan Companies - announced consolidated Q1 2019 revenues of USD 4.1 billion, up by 2% y-o-y. At the same time, operating income was USD 938 million compared with USD 908million in the prior year.

Per divisions, Risk & Insurance Services Q1 2019 revenue was USD 2.4 billion, an increase of 3% compared with the first quarter of 2018. Of this total, MARSH's revenue was USD 1.73 billion, while GUY CARPENTER's revenue in the first quarter was USD 663 million.

In consulting sector, Q1 2019 was USD 1.7 billion, a flat value compared with the first quarter of 2018. MERCER's revenue was USD 1.2 billion OLIVER WYMAN Group's revenue was USD 518 million.

"We delivered strong growth in underlying revenue and profitability in the first quarter, including double-digit adjusted earnings growth and meaningful adjusted margin expansion in both Risk & Insurance Services and Consulting", said Dan GLASER, President and CEO.
