MONTENEGRO: In 1Q net profit of Lovcen Osiguranje almost reached EUR 1.5 million

Montenegro's top insurer Lovcen Osiguranje, part of Slovenia's Triglav Group, in 1Q2025 increased its net consolidated profit to EUR 1.49 million from EUR 1.04 million a year earlier, SeeNews reports.

Operating revenue increased to EUR 8.97 million during the first three months of the year from EUR 8.10 million in 1Q2024, while gross premium income climbed to EUR 13.41 million from EUR 13.19 million, according to the company’s consolidated financial statement.

Operating expenses also increased to EUR 5.59 million in the first quarter of the year from EUR 5.14 million in the same period of 2024. As a result, the gross operating profit climbed to EUR 3.38 million from EUR 2.96 million a year earlier.

The company's total assets increased to EUR 89.7 million at the end of March from EUR 82.1 million at the end of 2024.

It is noted that Lovcen was the largest insurer in terms of GWP among nine active insurance companies in Montenegro at the end of last year, according to data from the country's insurance supervision agency ANO.
