Maarten PERQUIN to succeed Frans van der ENT as the Chairman of ACHMEA Pension & Life

25 March 2020 — Andrei Victor
Maarten PERQUIN has been appointed as chairman of ACHMEA's Pension & Life division with effect from 1 May 2020. He is succeeding Frans van der ENT, who will be pursuing his career outside the company from this date.

In fact, in mid-December 2019 the Dutch financial group announced that Frans van der Ent will stand down as chairman of ACHMEA's Pension & Life division "reducing the size of its board in line with our service-book strategy. It has been agreed that Mr Van der ENT will continue his career outside ACHMEA".

Maarten PERQUIN joined ACHMEA in 2014 from Friesland Bank Assurantien. After three years as a director in the Service Organisation Life, he was appointed director of Pensions in early 2017.

Frans van der ENT has worked at ACHMEA for over twelve years. After six years as CEO of the groups's former subsidiary in Romania, he became director Income Protection Insurance in 2013 and divisional chairman in 2015. In that capacity, he was a company director of ACHMEA Pensioen & Levensverzekeringen N.V. until 31 August 2019.

Thus, with effect from 1 May 2020, the members of the senior management team of Pension & Life will be Maarten PERQUIN (chairman and Pensions), Parcifal van OVERBEEK (Life), Martin HEUVELMANS (Finance) and Maarten van DUUREN (IT).

The board members of ACHMEA Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen N.V. are Robert OTTO and Michel LAMIE, both of whom are members of ACHMEA's Executive Board.
