Susan GREENWELL was previously the company's head of International Government Relations with responsibility for MetLife's advocacy on political, regulatory and legislative issues in more than 40 countries in Asia, Latin America, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In her new role, she will add responsibility for U.S. Federal Government Relations as well as the company's Regulatory Policy Group.

"MetLife will benefit greatly as she brings that same level of skill and leadership to our advocacy in Washington, D.C., and our regulatory research and outreach function."
Earlier in her career at MetLife, Susan GREENWELL served as vice president in the Office of the Chairman, President and CEO. She joined the company as chief of staff to the President of International in 2004.
Prior to joining MetLife, Susan GREENWELL held positions at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute of Columbia University, the American Forum for Global Education, and Xi'an Jiaotong University in China.
Susan GREENWELL serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Council for International Understanding, the Coalition of Services Industries, the Americas Society/Council of the Americas, and the Korea Society. She is also a Presidio Institute Cross Sector Leadership Fellow.
Susan GREENWELL holds a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a bachelor's degree in Asian studies from Furman University.
