The Assembly of Albania approved in April the appointment of Mrs. Mimoza Kaçi, member of the Board of the Financial Supervision Authority, in the position of General Executive Director.
Ms. Mimoza Kaçi has held the position of Deputy Executive Director of the Authority and Member of the Board since December 2014.
Graduated from the University of Economics and Business, in Vienna, Austria, majoring in capital markets and the insurance industry, Mrs. Kaçi holds the title of Doctor of Science from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana.
Ms. Kaçi has long working experience in public administration and in the academic sector, and has successfully led important projects for strengthening the supervisory capacities of the Financial Supervision Authority and the development of non-banking financial markets. Her involvement in the academic field continues as a lecturer of Finance profile subjects. She is the author of a series of scientific papers and publications in the economic field, as well as a contributor to national and international conferences.
Consistently valued by international partners in the financial field and with excellent communication skills in English and German, Ms. Kaçi has encouraged cooperation with counterpart agencies, as well as the integration of the Authority in European and international organizations. She leads the integration negotiations for chapter 9 "Financial services" with a focus on raising standards and aligning legislation with the acquis communitaires.
With in-depth knowledge and expertise in financial markets, Ms. Kaçi is committed to the further improvement of supervisory methodologies, as well as to the development and modernization of the non-banking financial sector.
