The largest corporate policy issued in North Macedonia covers a maximum damage of up to EUR 1.26 billion. In motor vehicle insurance, the maximum sum insured is EUR 41 million and the insurance contract is with a public passenger transport company.

The policy with the highest insured amount for payment of damages in private health insurance covers up to EUR 2.3 million, which insures almost 800 employees, osigurajse.net said.

The largest amount that can be paid for damages to insured property of an individual is MKD 198 million (EUR 3.2 million). It is a house - real estate owned by an individual. Insurance companies have over 128,000 active contracts with individuals for real estate insurance, according to official data from the Insurance Supervision Agency (ISA) for the first half of this year.

In the corporate sector, the largest coverage for property damage belongs to a large company from the electricity sector. The maximum coverage, according to this insurance contract, that the company can get is MKD 77.65 billion (EUR 1.26 billion). The corporate sector has over 32,000 active property insurance contracts as of June 30, 2021.

In the accident insurance class, the maximum sum insured under an active insurance contract that can be paid is MKD 4.26 billion (EUR 69.3 million), which is a collective insurance policy for more than 8,500 employees. There are 628,000 active insurance contracts in this insurance class at the end of June.

In the class of private health insurance, the maximum sum insured under an active insurance contract is MKD 142.9 million (EUR 2.3 million), under a collective insurance against serious diseases of almost 800 employees in a public health institution. In this class of insurance at the end of June there are over 12,000 active contracts that provide private health insurance for more than 38,000 people.

The largest coverage in motor vehicle insurance covers up to MKD 2.5 billion (EUR 41 million). The policy is owned by a public transport company. In this class at the end of June there were 50,000 active contracts for motor hull insurance.

The most valuable cargo policy covers damages up to the amount of MKD 3.4 billion (EUR 5.6 million), which insures all shipments that will be realized in the period for which the insurance contract is valid.

In the case of compulsory MTPL, the largest policy with a maximum sum insured (prescribed by law) covers damages up to MKD 93.4 million (EUR 1.5 million). This policy is owned by a company that transports explosive materials and is insured against material and non-material damage. There are over 611,000 active insurance contracts in this insurance class as of June 30^th, the media said.
