The number of complaints filed by insured persons in the first nine months has doubled y-o-y. According to the Insurance Supervision Agency (ASO) complaints resolved in favor of dissatisfied policyholders in 9M2021 increased by 83% compared to the same period last year.

By the end of September, 22 complaints of insured persons against insurance companies were positively resolved (vs 12 complaints in the same period last year). In total, as of the end of September this year, the ASO received 127 complaints from dissatisfied policyholders (vs 62 complaints filed a year ago).

From the aspect of the insurance type, most complaints (55) were filed for damages incurred in motor vehicle liability insurance (the most common class of mandatory insurance). 24 complaints were submitted for accident insurance, 13 complaints for life insurance, 10 complaints for property insurance.

The reason for dissatisfaction of the insureds in 50 cases was the basis for compensation payment, in 34 cases the reason was the amount of compensation.

Out of the total number of submitted complaints, 106 were submitted by individuals and 22 - by legal entities.
