STATISTICS: KAZAKHSTAN, 1Q2019: life sector saw significant increase of almost 51%

For the first quarter of 2019, total market GWP rose by 10.5% y-o-y reaching KZT 118.9 billion (EUR 279 million). Life GWP increased by 50.9%, to KZT 24 billion (EUR 56.4 million). Paid claims amounted to KZT 27 billion (EUR 63.5 million), 29.6% more y-o-y, according to data from the National Bank.

UKRAINE: annual MTPL growth from Jan-March reached almost 19%

STATISTICS: UZBEKISTAN, 1Q2019: paid claims saw rapid increase of more than 117%

From January to March 2019, Uzbek insurers collected GWP in the amount of UZS 522.8 billion (EUR 55 million), 37.22% more y-o-y in local currency. Paid claims saw a rapid increase of 117.83%, to UZS 180.16 billion (EUR 18.98 million), as data published by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic show.
