POLAND: ALLIANZ: 10% increase in premium

Over the three quarters of 2011, Allianz group collected in total PLN 2.68 billion in premium, i.e. nearly 10% more than a year ago. What also increased is the total value of assets managed by the group, which as of the end of September amounted to PLN 12.5 billion, i.e. over a quarter more than in September 2010. In total, all group's companies generated over PLN 31 million in profit.

In non-life insurance, gross written premium amounted to PLN 1.4 billion, and was PLN 120 million higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. In non-life insurance for industry, Allianz recorded a 25% increase in written premium, which was accompanied by an improvement of the technical result. It results from a consistent risk assessment policy and cooperation with clients on threat mitigation.

The value of non-life claims paid by the company amounted to PLN 800.4 million, i.e. 3.6% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In life insurance, gross written premium amounted to PLN 1.3 billion, and was PLN 117 million higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The value of claims paid increased by 23%, from PLN 934 million to PLN 1.15 billion in 2011. Allianz Zycie improved its financial result by 11.8%. The profit amounted to PLN 42.7 million.
