The management boards of the MAK Group and STBU announced the two brokers will merge, creating the biggest player in the intermediation segment. In 2018, the aggregated volume of intermediated premiums exceeded PLN 1 billion, a historical record.

Andrzej WASILEWSKI, the main shareholder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAK Investments and the President of MAK Ubezpieczenia, comments: "We jointly decided to create the MAK-STBU Group and I am proud that we will be able to act as one group with a company with such a great tradition and experience. This is the first such a significant merger of Polish brokerage companies in 25 years. There is no doubt that thanks to the combination of strength, competence and ambition, we will be even more dynamically developing services at the highest level. "

The decision on the merger is to be a response to the needs of the market, in seek for a larger range of high quality services. Bartosz GRZESKOWIAK, Vice-president of MAK Ubezpieczenia, adds: "We are the first Polish broker leading expansion on international markets, and joining forces will allow us to develop our international businesses even faster". As pointed out by Adam LEWANDOWSKI, president of STBU: "An additional advantage of consolidation is the potential optimization of customer service processes, whose improvement has been prioritized in both organizations for many years".

STBU Insurance Brokers was established in 1998 and provides solutions in the area of corporate property insurance, D&O, marine insurance, modern solutions for investment protection and group insurance for life and health.
