After the 2nd quarter of 2011, Uniqa's non-life company recorded a sales increase of 22.5%, and collected written premium in the amount of PLN 531.7 million. The company continues sales growth in all strategically important lines of business. General TPL insurance, home insurance, fire insurance and health insurance are developing very well. The number of accident insurance policies was also on the rise. In addition, motor insurance keeps developing intensively.

The loss ratio decreased. "It does not result only from better weather conditions than last year, but also from actions we take which are aimed at improving profitability of motor insurance and other types on non-life insurance." - says Andrzej Jarczyk, the president of Uniqa group.

In the 1st half of 2011, Uniqa Zycie collected gross written premium in the amount of PLN 257.8 million. The regular premium amounted to PLN 35.4 million and increased by 21.8 as compared to the premium collected in the 1st half of 2010. What significantly influenced the increase in the regular premium was development of group insurance, for which a 59.5% growth was recorded. In the other groups, also high growth rate was recorded, i.e. for classic individual products growth rate was 35.4%, and growth in unit-linked insurance was 23.5%. Meanwhile, the total value of one-off premiums in the 1st half of 2011 was PLN 222.4 million.
