20 April 2026 — Marina MAGNAVAL
According to data from the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU), in 2025, insurers invested PLN 111.5 billion in bonds and other fixed-income securities, and over PLN 20 billion in shares, equities, and variable-rate securities, Gazeta Ubezpieczeniowa (Insurance Gazette) wrote.

"As an insurance sector, we are ready to accelerate long-term investments in Poland", Piotr Wrzesiński, Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Insurance, said. "The industry is worth PLN 130 billion, and we can allocate some of these funds to long-term investments, primarily infrastructure investments", he added.

"The insurance sector is essential for long-term investments, primarily as a risk hedger. Infrastructure investments are impossible without insurance and risk hedging”, Piotr Wrzesiński pointed out at the Banking & Insurance Forum.
