RMS Strengthens Executive Team with Appointment of Michael STEEL

Michael_STEEL80RMS announced on November 1st the appointment of Michael STEEL to its executive team in the position of Global Head of Solutions. He will also chair the company's Europe Leadership Council, and provide overall regional leadership to the RMS London and Zurich offices. 

Michael's appointment reflects the company's increased commitment to its clients in the global risk and insurance industry, reads the RMS's press release. He will lead teams with deep knowledge of insurance and reinsurance risk management practices to define and deliver high-value solutions. "I have always been impressed by RMS' commitment to investing in people and new technologies to better understand the risks that are affecting our industry. I look forward to bringing together the existing RMS expertise with some of the most talented individuals within our industry, to implement solutions that assist our customers' in addressing their risk management, underwriting, and operational challenges and opportunities," stated the newly appointed Global Head of Solutions, Michael STEEL.

Michael STEEL has more than 25 years of experience in risk and capital management gained in the insurance industry. Prior to joining RMS, he was the Group Chief Risk Officer at AXIS Capital.  Michael joined AXIS Capital in 2008 following 12 years at Benfield (now Aon Benfield) where he had been a Director with Benfield Ltd and Benfield Advisory, Chairman and founder of the ReMetrics team, Global Head of the Capital Markets Group and Head of the Structured Products team. Prior to his tenure at Benfield, Michael had been a leading member of Instrat, Sedgwick Group's Analytics and Structured Products team. Michael currently serves as Chairman of the Geneva Association's CRO Network.
